The new Accessibility Act 2025
Digital inclusion with technical foresight
Accessibility is not a luxury, but a human right. With the new Accessibility Act (BaFG) in Austria and the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) in Germany, a decisive step towards greater digital and social inclusion was taken on 28 June 2025. The aim is to ensure that all people, regardless of physical or cognitive limitations, can use products, services and information without restriction.
What does accessibility mean?
Accessibility means that technical systems, websites, products and services are designed in such a way that they are equally accessible and usable for all people.
Further information on the legal basis can be found here:
BaFG: Accessibility Act Austria
BFSG: Accessibility Strengthening Act Germany
Why is the new law important?
With the entry into force of these laws, digital accessibility is regulated in a binding manner for the first time. This not only strengthens the rights of people with disabilities, but also the competitiveness of companies that act early. Accessibility is thus becoming a key quality feature of modern product development.
Accessibility in practice: our approach
Our products and systems are consistently aligned with the legal requirements of the Accessibility Act (BaFG) and the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) as well as the individual needs of our customers. We pursue the goal of ensuring maximum usability for all people, regardless of their abilities or limitations.
In order to effectively implement accessibility, we develop our solutions in accordance with recognised international standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2). We ensure that our digital offerings are designed to be accessible and intuitive to use, whether they are web portals, mobile applications or complex communication interfaces.
Our systems are based on a modular structure that allows accessible components to be flexibly integrated and expanded as needed. This enables us to implement individual requirements in a targeted manner while ensuring that our solutions remain future-proof.
An essential part of our approach is the proactive optimisation of usability. We consciously go beyond the minimum legal requirements and continuously check where additional improvements can be made. Because true accessibility arises where user-friendliness and inclusion work together as a matter of course.
Accessibility as an opportunity for all areas of application
With our approach, we create an inclusive, functional and sustainable digital environment that meets the high demands of emergency and security organisations.
We see accessibility not as an obligation, but as an opportunity to make technology accessible to everyone.
The Accessibility Act 2025 is therefore a decisive step towards a digital future in which inclusion and usability go hand in hand.
