eurofunk supports NATO summit
in the Netherlands with 24/7 special readiness – C2000

During the NATO summit in The Hague from June 20 to 27, 2025, the digital radio network of the Dutch emergency services played a particularly important role. The nationwide TETRA communication system C2000, which is supplied and maintained by eurofunk, was operated under increased load during this time. eurofunk supported the operational readiness of the C2000 system as a technology partner with a special 24/7 readiness service.

Structured deployment planning

To ensure stable system operations during the summit, eurofunk set up continuous special readiness. This included four on-site teams, a backup team, a team in Austria, as well as a management team both on-site in the Netherlands and at the company headquarters in St. Johann – all operating around the clock!

The detailed and forward-looking deployment planning took into account various scenarios and processes in order to respond quickly and in a coordinated manner to any factors that might arise. In total, around 25 employees from various departments were involved.

Operation under increased load

The C2000 radio system from eurofunk demonstrated stable performance even under heavy usage. Communication remained extremely stable and interference-free, and system response times stayed within defined parameters. Localized peaks in demand were addressed in coordination with relevant stakeholders and handled appropriately.

The experience from this operation shows that technical infrastructure can be operated reliably even under high demands – provided that planning, monitoring, and coordination work hand in hand. During the NATO summit, eurofunk made a significant contribution to ensuring the continuous availability of the C2000 system through the special readiness service provided.
