When help arrives:
€9,000 for seriously ill children and their families
As part of our annual Christmas fundraising campaign, the staff at eurofunk have been busy raising money for the Kikra charity. The company has also topped up the amount – bringing the total to an impressive €9,000. This sum will go directly to seriously ill children and their families.
The cheque was presented at the eurofunk headquarter in St. Johann im Pongau, providing an opportunity for a personal exchange. It became clear once again just how much can be achieved together – and how important the commitment of every individual is.
Kikra has been doing valuable work in mobile paediatric nursing for many years. It cares for children and young people with a wide variety of conditions – from premature babies to young patients with complex clinical pictures. This also includes specialised care, such as oxygen therapy, home ventilation or the provision of feeding tubes. A holistic approach is particularly important here: support is provided not only for the child, but for the whole family.
Care and case management is also a key component. The aim is to establish an individual support network for each child that promotes their development and brings about a lasting improvement in their quality of life. At the same time, family members are supported and empowered to cope with the often challenging day-to-day demands of caregiving.
The fundraising campaign and the personal meeting during the handover impressively demonstrate the importance of solidarity and social responsibility. This support helps Kikra to continue its vital work and provides tangible relief and new prospects for affected families
