Resource Dispatch in Control Centers:
Finding the Best Response Personnel with eOCS

In control centers, every second counts. Different emergency situations require different resources, and the challenge lies in quickly identifying the most suitable response personnel and equipment. That’s exactly where eOCS comes in.

eOCS is a communication and dispatch system for modern resource allocation. The system helps control centers quickly identify available personnel and resources, allocate resources as needed, and streamline dispatch processes. By intelligently linking vehicle data, qualifications, responsibilities, and routing information, suitable resources for different scenarios can be found more quickly.

Intelligent Resource Dispatching

Efficient resource dispatching requires consideration of various factors. eOCS enables dispatchers to quickly capture relevant information and incorporate it into the selection of suitable resources.

The following factors, in particular, play a central role:

  • current status of resources
  • vehicle equipment and resource characteristics
  • qualifications of emergency personnel
  • Areas of responsibility and operational sequences
  • Optimal routing information to the incident site

In combination with the eurofunk resQnect app, eOCS can determine which personnel with which qualifications are currently available on which vehicles. This allows, for example, dog handlers, emergency responders with specific language skills, or personnel with specialized training to be specifically integrated into the dispatch process.

Another important factor is routing. eOCS calculates the optimal route to the incident site, thereby helping emergency personnel arrive as quickly as possible.

The various criteria can be flexibly combined and weighted. This makes the system suitable for both manual searches for resources and automated dispatch processes.

Automatic Dispatch with Integrated AAO

A central component of eOCS is the flexible integration of the Alarm and Deployment Order (AAO) . Individual alarm plans can be stored in the system for different incident keywords, locations, and time periods.

As soon as an incident is created, eOCS determines the required resources based on the stored AAO and matches them with the available resources. Using definable calculation logic, the system then suggests the most suitable resources for the respective requirements.

  • Incident keyword and incident type
  • Incident location and area of responsibility
  • Available resources
  • Defined AAO rules and logic

This provides a solid basis for making quick and reliable decisions—both during routine operations and in complex emergency situations.

Quickly find additional emergency personnel

Not every emergency situation can be fully covered by a predefined alarm and dispatch order. Especially in dynamic situations or when special requirements arise, additional resources are often needed.

With the “Nearest Response Resources” feature, control centers can search specifically for available vehicles or personnel. For example, the nearest turntable ladders, K-9 handlers, or specialized personnel with specific qualifications can be found with just a few clicks and integrated into existing operations.

How response resource dispatch works in practice

Resource dispatch involves selecting and alerting appropriate personnel and resources for an operation. Numerous factors must be taken into account—from vehicle availability and equipment to the qualifications of the personnel deployed.

eOCS consolidates relevant information such as vehicle status, resource characteristics, areas of responsibility, and routing data. This provides a solid basis for decision-making when selecting appropriate resources.

The alarm and deployment procedure (AAO) can also be flexibly mapped in eOCS. Stored alarm plans make it possible to automatically determine the required resource needs for different incident keywords and suggest suitable resources.

In addition, eOCS offers further capabilities even in dynamic operational situations: If additional resources are needed, response assets or personnel with specific qualifications and equipment characteristics can be specifically searched for and dispatched.

How eOCS Improves Response Asset Dispatch

eOCS helps control centers dispatch personnel and response assets quickly, efficiently, and in line with operational needs. Through the combination of intelligent resource search, automated dispatch, AAO integration, and qualification-based resource planning, the system helps identify the most suitable resources for various operational situations.

This provides dispatchers with a solid foundation for quick decisions and efficient resource dispatch—both during routine operations and in dynamic operational situations.
