Emergency Control Center via Voice over IP
A reliable, independent platform is available to centrally unify all critical communication channels in high-security environments. In control rooms and other security‑sensitive facilities, consistent communication across diverse systems is essential.
Technologies such as radio, telephony, or building systems must perform reliably even under challenging conditions. Based on Voice‑over‑IP technology, the platform enables secure management of analog and digital radio, telephony, electro‑acoustic systems, and building service components — all via a single central system.
The solution is designed for use by dispatch center networks, public safety (BOS) control rooms, and other security‑critical organizations in both public sector and industrial settings.
All communications – voice and control data – are transmitted over an IP-based network. This enables multiple control centers to be linked into a unified system. Communication resources are accessible from any location, allowing for flexible operational scenarios with centralized control.
The platform is designed with full redundancy and features a dedicated communication network between primary and fallback systems. This ensures that in the event of a failure, alternative transmission paths can be automatically activated, guaranteeing continuous operation even during partial system outages.
The emc2 VoIP architecture is built on specialized gateways that interface with radio systems, telephony, and building management systems. This design ensures that all communication paths remain functionally independent. If one service (e.g., digital radio) fails, all other channels continue to operate without interruption.
The system natively supports integration with TETRA digital radio using Fixed Radio Terminals (FRTs). Voice data is fed into the network via IP gateways. Additionally, Digital Radio Gateways allow for the inclusion of wired radio connections.
Analog radio sources, such as company radio or BOS radio devices, are integrated via gateways into the VoIP system. Once converted, these voice channels are available from any workstation within the system—regardless of location.
emc2 VoIP supports a wide range of modern technologies and interfaces:
